What industries do you work with?

The beautiful thing about Business Value is that it’s industry agnostic.  Revenue, Earnings and Intangible Capital drive value.  Our certified business valuations require us to evaluate similar businesses of your size, in your location and in your industry.  The same analysis that goes into determining your current value allows us to share insights on how you can enhance value.  We’re happy to explain further in a complimentary Clarity Call.

Are your Valuations different from other budget or free options?

Is a free Zillow Estimate the same as having home value determined by a licensed home appraiser?  The former took a few data points, along with a long list of assumptions and applied them to form an educated guess.  The free estimate has no idea if your roof needs replaced or if you’ve remodeled the kitchen.  The latter is a licensed professional that considers ALL information and has actually stepped foot in your home.

It’s a similar concept with business valuations.  If you are using the value of your business as part of financial planning, partnership agreements or strategic growth planning, would you prefer an educated guess or a professional opinion from someone who has evaluated your specific business?

What is a CVA?

CVA stands for Certified Valuation Analyst.  It is a professional designation issued by the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA).  The CVA is the only valuation credential accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) and the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB).

GPC Group recognizes the value of the CVA credential.  All valuations produced by GPC Group are reviewed and/or authored by a Certified Valuation Analyst.

Do you need a license to issue Business Valuations?

No.  There is no universal government licensing requirement for business appraisers.  Any valuation analyst must still possess expertise in finance and valuation methodologies.

However, without credentials such as ABV, CVA or ASA, the valuation may lack credibility for legal, tax, or contested disputes.  A valuation authored by an uncredentialed valuator may be easily challenged or dismissed in court.

GPC Group recognizes the value the CVA credential brings to our valuations and our clients.  This is why we have invested in this critical education.  All valuations produced by GPC Group are reviewed and/or authored by a Certified Valuation Analyst.
